Jewellery Care Guide

Each GIMME piece is made to be worn and loved on repeat. To help keep your jewellery looking its best, we’ve put together a few care tips based on the materials we use.

Stainless Steel (PVD Gold-Plated)

Our stainless steel styles are waterproof, tarnish-resistant, and made for daily wear. That said, a little care goes a long way.

- You can wear these in the shower, pool, or gym (but if they’ve been exposed to saltwater or chlorine, we suggest rinsing with fresh water and drying them off).

- Store in a dry pouch to help prevent scratches and keep that shine intact.

- While the plating is tough, we recommend avoiding direct contact with heavy lotions, oils, or perfumes to keep the finish looking fresh.

- A soft, damp cloth (just water, no chemicals) is all you need to clean them.

Brass with Thick Gold Plating

Our brass pieces are coated in a generous layer of gold for that elevated look but they need a little extra loving.

- These pieces don’t love water or sweat, so we recommend removing them before showering, swimming, or working out.

- Apply perfume, hairspray, or skincare before putting on your jewellery.

- Store in a dry, cool place to prevent tarnishing.

- Clean with a dry, soft cloth - avoid water or chemical cleaners to preserve the plating.

Sterling Silver 925

Sterling silver is timeless, hypoallergenic, and designed to last. It's important to note that this material can naturally darken over time when exposed to air and moisture (it's called oxidisation).

- To slow down oxidisation, avoid wearing silver in water or humid environments.

- We recommend taking it off while applying creams, oils, or perfume.

- If your silver starts to dull, a quick polish with a silver cleaning cloth will bring it back to life.

- Store in an airtight pouch or container to help prolong it's life.
